Daddy's Info...

I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, and up to date with shots.

Daddy's Story...
Daddy was found by a couple of our volunteers on a large boulevard in Queens. He was wandering all alone and almost got hit by a car. They rescued him and now he is safe with us.

Daddy looks to be a Shar Pei / Staffie mix. He reminds us of a big cuddly teddy bear. He's a strong boy who needs someone with pack leadership experience - he's very smart and will learn quickly with the right person.

Daddy would do best in a calm, adult only home for now - he likes to play a bit rough but listens to corrections. We had one of our experienced volunteers walk him, and he found him to be sweet and mellow and said he listens really well. With exercise and leadership, Daddy will be a great companion. He's loves being praised and pet and just soaks up the attention!

If you are interested, please email your application (located under Daddy's photos) to adopt@bobbicares.org.

Thank you so much!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daddy, a Freeport American Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei for sale in Freeport, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Freeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Freeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Freeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Freeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
