Fitzgerald's Story...
Hi, my name is Fitzgerald, and I would love it if you could please give me a chance! I have had a very traumatic past, but I have made great progress in my foster home. I am the last of the Original Puppy Mill 22, I am about 2 years old. I still need some extra patience and prefer peace and quiet in my new home until my nerves are under control, I would prefer a home with no small children. I am crate trained, dog door and house trained. I do very well with other dogs. My Dad says I am very Special. I am the sweetest boy. I hope someday I can be a cuddly boy too when I am not so nervous. I am never mean or aggressive. I am learning to be a Real Hound. I run and play and Aroooo with my other fosters and I am All Boy. I have started going to school learning not to be so timid. I really love walks as I am a natural on the leash. I need a Special Someone in My Life. Are you Special?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fitzgerald, a Phoenix Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
