My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brandy is a stunning,10 month old, 5 ½ lb Red Toy Poodle. She is AKC registered and comes with her papers.

She is totally potty trained, she is pee pee pad (paper) and outside trained.

Brandy is playful and sweet, not a mean bone in her body, she loves other dogs to play and run with.

She is very affectionate and follows her foster mom where ever she goes, more out of curiosity than need, as she has become very accustomed to the routine in her foster home, with other Poodles and loves it.

Brandy is crate trained at night for sleeping but we feel that if she was allowed to sleep on her owner’s bed this would bring a better bond and security for her.

Brandy was given up because she has separation anxiety when left alone, this is easily corrected by training and we are working with her on this issue. If we build up her confidence she will feel more secure in her surroundings and herself.

On saying that, we would not adopt her to a home if someone was not around as all ‘puppies’ need obedience training and socialization. Brandy has already passed a course in obedience but we feel she requires more to get her focused.

Sue’s evaluation of this little girl is she could do anything you asked of her, she would be an awesome Therapy Dog as she is just so gentle, and her stunning looks will have people stopping you on the street!

Requirements to adopt Brandy

Be home some or all of the day

Must be willing to go to obedience classes with her

Please let her sleep on your bed for bonding

Another dog is not necessary but if you have one it must be around the same size and energy level

No Children she is just too small and very refined boned.

Fenced or very safe yard

Poodles need to go to a professional groomer every 6-8 weeks at a cost of about $50, so please factor that into the costs associated with dog ownership.
