My name is Rusty!

Golden Retriever Dog for adoption in Cleveland, Ohio - Rusty

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Rusty's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Rusty's Story...
Pound pooch Rusty is off to a much better
start in life now that he's with us. From what we
can tell he escaped from his outdoor tie-out
since he still had his collar on with a portion
of the tie-out still attached. He reeked as if he
had never had a bath and his fur is so matted
that we couldn't even tell if he was neutered!
His owners didn't care much about him since he
had no ID and his condition clearly indicates he
was an outdoor dog. He hasn't let the treatment
he received previously affect his disposition,
though. He's a gentle guy, a bit on the timid
side and a total dear. He walks well on a leash,
rides well in a car. Available for adoption after Jan. 1st.

To start the adoption process, please complete the application found on our website - www.grinrescue.org. Local prospects only.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rusty, a Cleveland Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Cleveland, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Cleveland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cleveland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cleveland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cleveland paves the way for another one to be saved.
