Colt's Story...
Meet our football puppies. They are 7 week old puppies, 4 males and 3 females. Mom is a golden retriever, dad is a black lab mix. They are all adorable! They are all going into foster homes next week so stay posted for updates.

UPDATE: All the Football puppies are currently in foster homes. Everyone is saying how these are the best puppies. They are all very sweet and very social. They love to play, to snuggle and follow other dogs around. They are sleeping through the night and progressing very well on their potty training. Stay posted for more pictures from foster families.

UPDATE FROM THE FOSTER FAMILY: Colt is a delightful little puppy. He gets along brilliantly with my two golden retrievers (Max and Chloe). They all play and run together. It is even funnier when our cat Winston joins in. They all run circles in the living room. What a joy animals are and they always make you smile. Colt is doing well potty training too! Actually, he hasn't had an accident indoors for 2 weeks. I put him on the leash every 20 minutes or so and he runs to the back door. Whoever adopts this little fellow will love how trainable he is.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colt, a Cumming Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Cumming, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Cumming.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cumming already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cumming breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cumming paves the way for another one to be saved.
