Wolf's Story...
These sweet babies are Honey & Wolf. Honey is the first picture in the crate. Wolf is the other two pictures. They are both VERY loveable and affectionate!! Look at Wolf…he really loved this shelter volunteer…he just hugged her as if to say THANK YOU for holding me!!! These babies are shepherd mixes. They are very young…I’m guessing about 4 months old. These boys DO NOT deserve to grow up in this shelter!!! They need an owner that they can love. I promise…you won’t be sorry with either one of these babies. These pups will be neutered before leaving the shelter and will have all of their shots. Please come and check them out!!!!!

Please call the shelter ASAP at 502-633-0009

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wolf, a Shelbyville Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Shelbyville, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Shelbyville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shelbyville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shelbyville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shelbyville paves the way for another one to be saved.
