Sprocket's Story...
Male, adult, jack russell terrier, chihuahua

Sprocket is a keeper! He is so loving, sweet and gentle. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter because he was so frightened that he would stiffen up and freeze. He was just scared out of his skin!

Sprocket is good with cats, dogs and older kids. He is house trained and well-mannered. He came in with his sister Jenna. They would be a great pair if you wanted to adopt two dogs but they would do fine without each other.

If you would like to meet this precious boy please fill out an application and email it Sunrise. He is neutered, micro chipped and up to date on his shots. $250 to qualified home.

Home visits and references are required on all adoptions. If you would like more information about our rescue and our dogs, including more photos, visit our website at www.sunrisefoundationltd.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sprocket, a Lakewood Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Lakewood, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Lakewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lakewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lakewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lakewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
