Daphne's Story...
My name is Daphne and I'm a 2 year old Maine Coon/brown Tabby girl. After I gave birth to my second litter of kittens, my owners took me and my kittens to the shelter where we lived for a short period of time before being taken into foster care. My foster mom says I was an excellent, doting mother to my kittens. Shortly after my youngsters were weaned, I started acting like a playful kitten myself. After all, I’m fairly young to have already given birth to two litters of kittens and I finally deserve to have some fun of my own! All of my kittens have since found homes, but I’m still waiting for mine. I’m playful, litter-box trained, love to get attention, and if you adopt me, I promise to give you a lot of love in return.

If you’d be interested in adopting me, please let my foster mom Rebecca know! You can e-mail her at or call her at (913) 638-5131.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daphne, a Overland Park Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
