Vina's Story...
Vina was caught as a small feral kitten. For a long time she hissed and spat in her crate. When she got her freedom in the building we thought we would have a real problem getting hold of her again as she always scooted off when people came near. Then one day she had a total change of heart and just let us pick her up and now she is very social and a real favorite. She is not yet a year old. About Our Shelter...
Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses 150-200 homeless cats. The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
