My name is ISOBEL!

Border Collie/Australian Shepherd Mix Puppy for adoption in San Pedro, California - ISOBEL

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

ISOBEL's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

ISOBEL's Story...
Sidney and Isobel

They are about 3 1/2 months old. Black and white mottled with docked tails... makes me think they may have been crossed with Aussie... although they have very Border Collie heads and bodies.

Sidney had a curlier coat than Isobel, but it's smoothed out some, both will probably be semi smooth to the thicker haired smooth side.

Isobel is more serious and reserved and Sidney is already displaying herding behavior, she nips at my calves as I walk through the yard. Just puppy play now but... she's showing potential for work.
Both puppies are bringing the ball back to me already!

How these two wound up in the custody of Animal Services is anyone's guess. Luckily got them in time in time to keep them healthy and safe. They are very well adjusted. Love all people and great with children. They have been living with 4 other dogs from 6 months to 5 years, and they are a pack! The pups are being very well socialized and learning their P's & Q's from the other dogs.

Both due to be spayed, this Weds. 26th of August, and ready to adopt 3 - 5 days later, depending on the procedures go.
Here's a whole photo album of these two...

Thanks for reading about Sidney and Isobel, and thank you for considering rescue first!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ISOBEL, a San Pedro Border Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
