Trixie's Story...
Trixie was rescued from an abusive and neglectful situation. She was found by one of our volunteers with rubber bands tied around her right hind leg, cutting off the circulation, and so was taken out of the home she's been in for all 4 years of her life. Her leg required surgery in order to save it and prevent having to amputate. Trixie has recovered nicely and is using her leg to walk now. She is getting a lot of exercise as part of her therapy and we have discovered she loves to play ball. When she runs fast she only uses 3 legs, but when she walks slow and stands she is using it for balance and she is using it more and more every day. She is one of the friendliest dogs her fostermom has been around... she has a very sweet and loving temperament and has no "issues." Trixie gets along well with all other dogs and has a very calm disposition. She has been micro chipped, spayed, and is current on her vaccinations. Please call Adrienne at 310-972-8385 or email her at hhdogs02@yahoo.comt for more information on Trixie or to set up an appointment to meet her. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trixie, a Rolling Hills Estates American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Rolling Hills Estates, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Rolling Hills Estates.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rolling Hills Estates already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rolling Hills Estates breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rolling Hills Estates paves the way for another one to be saved.
