My story

Hi there and thank you for reading my story : )
My name is Hennessey, but you are free to change it (as long as you promise to give me a chance to love you). I am a really small boxer and even when I gain all my weight and muscle back, I will still weigh less than 40 lbs.

Although I am really young (approx. 18 months old), I have not had a very happy life. My original owners pretty much threw me in a yard as a puppy hoping that they could use me for breeding or fighting. I turned out not having a bad bone in my body and I actually love being in company of humans, which did not make them very happy. They then just forgot about me till I was too sick to go on. I had no hair on my body and was just skin over bones.
Lucky me, a nice Veterinarian and his non for profit rescued me just in time. Now, after some treatments, I heard them say that I am ready to finally go home!



Hennessey's adoption fee is $150.-. She is very playful, loving, friendly and gets along great with other dogs. She has been around cats in the clinic and does seem to do OK with them. There is nothing wrong with her behaviorally. Physically, her only issue is her skin, which is almost completely healed. Hennessey is learning some basic commands (and doing pretty good at it) and is crate trained.
