Rex's Story...
Rex came to our rescue as an owner surrender due to the landlord changing his mind on letting them have him.

Rex is a 4 1/2 year old German Shepherd Dog mix. He is current on all vaccines, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped. Rex is great with children of all ages and other dogs. We are not sure how he is with cats, but we can test him if needs be.

Rex is house broken, walks well on the leash, and knows "sit" and "stay". He still has many years of love to offer his new fur ever family.

If you are interested in Rex, please email us for an application.

We are not in a shelter so there are no 'visiting hours'. Please EMAIL for an application, as our foster parents may not be able to take your phone call during the day.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rex, a Oak Lawn German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Oak Lawn, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Oak Lawn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Lawn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Lawn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Lawn paves the way for another one to be saved.
