My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trapper is a very unique dog and has an adorable personality with such endearing ways. Those expressive eyes really speak a lot. They will sparkle and shine at playtime or dinnertime or anytime he is with his family. He does GREAT on leash but will be a bit clingy in new situations. It doesn't take him long to warm up and be everybody's buddy. He loves his crate and seems to enjoy his little haven. He will be perfectly content to cuddle up in his crate while his family is at work or school.
We came upon skinny little forlorn looking Trapper at a shelter in Virginia. The shelter manager told us they had been trying to capture Trapper for three months and he had been eluding them. He had figured out a way to get the food from the traps they had set for him - thus the name "Trapper". What a smart boy to out fox the law like that!! When he looked up at us with those big brown eyes we knew we had to take a chance on him. He had made it so far all on his own. We wanted to give him the opportunity to find a real home where he can be loved and cared for forever. Trapper is VERY smart and is really a neat and tidy fellow. Please come meet him and you will be charmed as we were. Trapper is neutered and up to date on his shots. He is crate-trained and microchipped. Trapper tested negative for heartworms and is on montly preventative for heartworms, fleas and ticks. He weighs 41 lbs. and is 8 months old.
