Denver's Story...
Denver is a 1 year old, natural eared fawn boy. Denver was a stray and has been in foster care since November because of kennel cough, emaciated condition and needing time to recover from these. He's recovered and is now neutered and ready to find a forever home. When introduced to my elderly (deaf & blind) cat, he was curious but a bit timid....so, he passed my cat test, I trusted him in the same room with my kitty. He might try to play with a cat that would run from him. He's great with other dogs, he loves to romp & play with his foster sister. Great with kids...goes right up to 'em and plants a big wet kiss on 'em! He walks okay on leash, though will improve with training. He's housebroken and crate trained, rides well in the car and has not tried to get on furniture. Everything's a great game for Denver, he loves stuffy toys and balls. He's very social and loves everyone he meets...though he will benefit from obedience training since he does jump a bit when exicited. Once he's completed training, this is the kind of dog you could take anywhere with you! DAR&E only places within the Maryland, DC, West Virginia and Virginia area. Please do no apply to adopt if you live outside of those areas. Please visit our website (www.dobe.net) for additional information on adopting one of our DAR&E Dobermans & an online application!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Denver, a Arlington Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
