Mocha's Story...
Mocha is quite the very handsome gentleman. We could not decide whther to say he is black or grey, so we decided on both. At first he looks black, but when you look closer he has a layer of gray and white over the black. It makes him look like salt and pepper mixed together. He loves playing with toys as long as they aren't loud. He also loves playing with his brother Mello, his mama (Mama), as well as people. You'll know that he is happy by his loud purrs. He has a softer side as well, and likes to be loved on. You won't find a better cuddle buddy. He loves to be held and rubbed, but he also loves just sitting in your lap. He also gets along well with other cats. Mocha is about 9 months old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mocha, a Reston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Reston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Reston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Reston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Reston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Reston paves the way for another one to be saved.
