My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tristan along with his two brothers and mother, were surrendered to a shelter and turned over to BARC for placement. The puppies are the result of an accidental breeding between two Boxers. The dogs lived outside and were not properly cared for. Two of the puppies in the litter died of exposure to cold weather before they were brought to the shelter. They have natural tails which our adoption contract stipulates cannot be docked.

Update from foster home:
Tristan is a handsome 10 month old boy looking for the right folks to give his boxer kisses to! He loves to play and has a lot of energy like a typical Boxer puppy, but will also lay by your feet quietly and chew on a toy. He is house broken and will bark to let you know he needs to go outside and potty. He has learned some basic commands, but does require a strong pack leader for guidance. He is currently learning to walk on a leash properly. He is crate-trained and will need to go to a home that is willing to continue this habit.

He gets along great with other dogs and the cats he lives with, but like most dogs he should not be left unattended with the cats just-in-case he decides to play a little to rough with them. Tristan can be quite clumsy at times, so the older he gets the better he will be. He just wants to play and will get excited at times knocking a little one over by accident. There are two kids in his foster home though that he constantly plays with whenever possible. Tristan loves to play outside and will bark to let you know he is one happy Boxer. He just found his big boy bark and it is so funny. He has a natural tail that is ohhhhhhhhh soooooooo cute too! He is very loyal and will follow you around the house to see what you are doing. He has been with his current foster family since he was a couple of weeks old and is in search of his forever home to give him all their love, attention, and patience with his new change of surroundings once adopted. Tristan is being fostered by Megan and Josh in Tallahassee, FL.
