Cookie's Story...
Poor Cookie! Cookie is a beautiful Golden mix who was surrendered to the shelter after his elderly owner became ill and could no longer care for him. He is an absolute angel, who loves children, cats, and other dogs. He is extremely gentle and affectionate and would be ideal as a children's companion. He would also be perfect for anyone wanting a more quiet, low key dog. Cookie does however show some slight signs of separation anxiety which could result from the shelter environment. Nonetheless, he would be best in a home with another dog and someone home at least most of the day to give him the attention he craves so much. Cookie is housebroken, has excellent manners and knows basic commands. His adoption fee is $200. He is neutered, wormed, and vaccinated. Please email animaladoption@hotmail.com for more info

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a Chicago Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
