Austin's Story...
We do not know much about Austin's past, but as we are getting to know him, he seems to be a typical goofy and wiggly Boxer. He's a good-sized boy at about 70 pounds and believed to be around 4 years old. He gets along well with his foster sister.

He is housebroken and is in the process of crate training. He is always up for a ride in the car and is a very good passenger. Austin walks amazingly well on a leash without the slightest bit of pulling. He loves to give big sloppy kisses. He also sleeps with his tongue sticking out (which is adorable). If you are looking for a sweet boy that is perfectly content to curl up next to you on the couch then Austin is the dog for you. He is being fostered by the Wallace family in Jacksonville.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Austin, a Savannah Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Savannah, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Savannah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Savannah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Savannah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Savannah paves the way for another one to be saved.
