Here's what the humans have to say about me:
George is an American Bulldog or Bulldog mix. Although he's in our 'big dog' section, he's not actually very big (especially now, while he is still underweight) but like all American Bulldogs, he is strong and athletic, which gives him lots of horsepower should he choose to use it. In the short time ACR has known him, he hasn't chosen to exert any muscle, aside from his tongue muscles for kisses, and his butt muscles for wagging that cute little nub. He must think he's a lap dog, because when we rescued him from the pound and transported him to the vets office, he tried to sit in his driver's lap all the way. His little butt and nubb wag a mile a minute and if you slow down on the petting he talks to you with a low deep whine, saying " Yoohoo! Over here! Love on me! Scratch me! Pay nonstop attention to me!" During his first vet visit, he cuddled up to the vet tech and put his head in her lap when she knelt down to pet him. He looked up at her with his big droopy eyes, and she was toast!
We don't have a foster home open for George yet, so he is boarding at the vets. He's a very nice customer who ignores the other dogs, even when they are excited and barking. He also keeps his kennel clean, and waits until he's let out to potty. As soon as a foster home opens we'll know more about life with George as a housedog.
