My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Major is an exceptional, neutered, male, black and cream, approximately 2 year old, German Shepherd. This handsome boy is up to date on vaccinations, flea and tick prevention and he is microchipped. Major was rescued out of the shelter and was originally found as a stray. We cannot imagine him running as a stray because he is always attached to someone’s hip. He is very thin but is eating well and gaining weight

He is a big love and needs someone that can spend time with him. He also has an incredible ball/toy drive and would make an exceptional working K9 either for narcotics detection or Search and Rescue. If he is to be placed as a family companion than he needs someone to play Frisbee with him everyday. He also excels in finding his toys and really enjoys the “search game”.

Major is great with people, he can be a little protective at first and needs time to warm up to other canine playmates. He rather spend time playing with people as long as they have a ball or Frisbee to throw.

Major is heartworm positive but is not showing any clinical signs. We are currently treating him monthly with Ivermectin and Doxycycline until he is negative. Major’s new family will need to keep him on Ivermectin which is a heartworm preventative, and we will provide all medications when he goes home. If you would like to offer this great guy a loving home or you are interested in him as a working K9 Please Email:luvgermansheps@yahoo.com

All dogs in rescue are temperament tested and have basic obedience implemented as a part of their daily routine. All behavioral issues are dealt with according to each case scenario. All dogs prior to going home are up to date on all vaccinations, neutered and or spayed, and microchipped.

Adoption fees range from $100 - $450 depending on age, degree of personalized training, and if proof of bloodlines can be provided.

Application, home-check, and references must be approved prior to final adoption. Located in Middleburg, Florida.

*Free Obedience Lessons offered to all of my rescued dogs that are placed within Clay County & Duval County areas. * Obedience Classes located in Orange Park, Florida.
