Brave Heart's Story...
On February 8th this sweet, little guy showed up at an acreage just outside of Coalhurst. He was missing part of his tail, an ear tip and both front feet due to frostbite. The name Brave Heart immediately came to mind. We could only imagine the pain and suffering he had been through. He is the perfect example of how irresponsible people throw away their pets like they do their garbage. This poor kitten was left without any shelter in the freezing cold. Two weeks ago he had surgery on his right foot. The vet is quite optimistic that the surgery was successful. A wonderful couple paid for the cost of the surgery but we are still in need of donations to help us with his ongoing vet bills. Brave Heart will be ready for adoption when he is fully recovered. Udate: Braveheart has found his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brave Heart, a Lethbridge Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Lethbridge, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Lethbridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lethbridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lethbridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lethbridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
