Huera's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Huera's Story...
Huera is a 3-year old spayed, tan Terrier mix, who weighs approximately 10 lbs.

When Huera came into the shelter, she was afraid but very trusting and quickly snuggled up to anyone who showed her some gentleness and kindness. Huera was quick to adjust to her new environment and is now running around and playing and will jump right into your lap! She loves other dogs and seems to like meeting new people, although she can be a bit timid at first in brand new situations. Huera knows how to "sit" on command and loves to be petted and brushed. She would probably do best in a home with adults or older, dog savvy children. She's curious and loves to go for walks, and behaves well on the leash. She likes meeting new people and getting petted, and loves to be around other dogs. We think she would actually do the best in a home with another dog.

Huera is currently available at the Central County Animal Shelter at 5480 Gaines St. in San Diego. You can come by and meet her Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30-5:30. For more information, call 619-767-2634.

Here is her identifying information:
ID: A1301845
Tag: C207
Kennel: C038

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Huera, a Vista Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Vista, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
