My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This kitty was found near death under a woodpile at only 4 weeks old. She was rescued by a kind person who cared for her and had her spayed. She named her Baby, because she was so small and sweet, but also very shy. Since she had several cats of her own, she tried to find a new home for Baby. When Baby was almost a year old, she was adopted out to a woman who seemed to want her. However, when Baby's original rescuer followed up on the adoption, she was told the cat had disapeared! Needless to say, her rescuer was very distressed, and decided to try to find her. She checked the local shelters regularly, and looked on Petfinder to see if Baby was up for adoption by a rescue organization. After about a month of no luck, she decided to try going to the house of the woman who adopted her, and search the neighborhood, just in case she was still somewhere around, but hiding out. She went to the neighborhood just as it was getting dark, and as she was about to give up hope and get in her car, she heard a little meow! Amazingly, Baby had heard her calling, and though now very timid, after her experience outside, she eventually came to her, and is now back in her home again, once more hoping to find a family of her own that will love her and care for her, and keep her indoors only. She is very sweet and loving, but will need time and patience to feel comfortable in any new surroundings. She would be happiest in a quiet household, with perhaps one other calm kitty. If you think you can give this little one, who is about one and a half years old, a wonderful home, where she can be loved, please call or e-mail me.
