Tiggey's Story...
Tiggey was the protector of Tiny. These kitties were abandoned by their momma when they were only eight weeks old. Fortunately, they found their way to the back patio of a kind couple in Lansdale who fed them. When they were first trapped at 12 weeks old, Tiggey would lay in front of Tiny to protect her. Tiny had an upper respiratory infection then and so intuitively Tiggey knew he had to take care of her.

Now that both kitties are healthy and have been handled and petted, Tiggey is more comfortable going off on his own. His male kitten Self is coming out and he likes to capture his toy mouse and run around the room with it. He is also very social with the other foster kittens, mixing and mingling and playing with them all. Like Tiny, Tiggey would probably do best in a quiet household where he can continue to safely and securely explore his new surroundings.

Tiggey is totally vetted, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and is ready to discover a new house and family to explore and love. His estimated date of birth is 7/1/2009.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiggey, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
