Wendell's pups's Story...
Bark! We came up to Wendell’s house in Mansfield, La., because we knew he had a big heart and couldn’t watch us go hungry or take us to the pound. We also knew that he would do everything he could to find us a good home. There are 4 of us… 3 females and 1 male… two black and two tan with black muzzles. We are about 7-8 weeks old and probably a shepherd/lab mix of some sort. We will probably be medium-sized when we grow up. We are super cute and super sweet. We’re UTD on our shots, thanks to Pet Savers and Wendell. If you adopt one of us, please get us spayed/neutered so there won’t be anymore of us. You can call Robinson’s Rescue at 861-0101 and make your appointment once we come of age. If you’d like to meet us, please call Wendell at 318-840-1852. We’re in Mansfield, La., but we are definitely worth the drive!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wendell's pups, a Haughton German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Haughton, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Haughton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Haughton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Haughton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Haughton paves the way for another one to be saved.
