My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When she came to us many months ago--a sad case of owner-abandonment--this beautiful 9-year-old calico was so angry, we were afraid to open her cage because she lashed out at pretty much everybody. (We can’t say we blamed her.) But Charmaine has blossomed into a sweet girl who gives head butts to show she likes you. She loves cuddling and being brushed, with only very occasional displays of Diva-like behavior. We have found that when adopted, cats like her become total love bugs. (Please see “Valencia”, “Swat” and “Catzilla” in our Happy Tails section of the website for owner write-ups about cats who went from snarly to ultra-sweet!) Since Charmaine doesn’t like other animals, she needs to be an only pet; a quiet environment without children would suit her best. Please come meet Charmaine and consider finding room for her in your heart and home!
