Nori's Story...
My name is Nori, I am an adorable little Chow Chow mix who has had a really hard life. I was rescued from a severe neglect case in California where me and my brothers and sisters where not being cared for. There where 19 of us to be exact, thats just too many for one person to have. I am a sweet and gentle soul who deserves so much more than what I have been given. It is hard for me to trust people, since I never really have gotten the love or attention I should have. In time I will learn that people are nice and I have nothing to be afraid of. I love other dogs and am fine around cats. Calm and quiet children are fine by me too. Are looking for a true rescue? Come in and spend some time with me, maybe I will even let you pet me! 4 years old-40lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nori, a Portland Chow Chow/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow/Collie for sale in Portland, or seeking a Chow Chow/Collie dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow/Collie breeders who help with Chow Chow/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
