Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am Stewie and I am a 3 years old lemon and white male. I was freed from an unfortunate living situation in Pinal County that didn’t treat us bassets too well. That being said, I am great with cats, other dogs, people and have been told I have one of the gentlest mouths around these parts. Foster dad hasn’t seen me with children yet but I have assured him I am great with them. I was very-very-very hungry when I got here and have steadily gone from 43 lbs up to 47 lbs in about a month. I am dog door trained and aside from the first few confusing days, haven’t had any inside accidents. I love car rides and walks but due to the heat I haven’t been able to work with my foster dad on his loose leash skills, he is so slow! I am a strong, loving and healthy boy. My previous struggles have left me with a few scars on my face and some severely worn teeth than the vet said where from me chewing at a cage.
Other than that, I am very well adjusted and really just want to catch up on the loving I missed out on. I love it when we lay on the dog beds and they just rub my belly, good times. I also enjoy a lil tug-o-war with an AZBHR alumnus here and also like to walk around and sleep with my stuffed squirrel (It’s coming with me, not sure they know it yet though). Rumor around AZBHR is that my foster dad has taken his sweet time putting me on the website because I am so awesome, shame on him.
