Rhodie's Story...
"The Amazing Rhodie. I never would have believed that Rhodie would live," says his rescuer. "He was one of three tiny pups left on a farmer's driveway. They weren’t much bigger than my thumb. A sibling had died that morning and the remaining two were almost starved (no mother in sight). They were bottle fed until they could eat. Rhodie is now at the shelter and gets along fine with his pen mate." Not only did he live--his smile says it all! P.S. His sister has been adopted.
Rhodie will be neutered upon adoption if not before. The fee is $75. FREE "New Pet" DVD & booklet, + 5-lb. bag of Science Diet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rhodie, a Tahlequah Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Tahlequah, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Tahlequah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tahlequah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tahlequah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tahlequah paves the way for another one to be saved.
