Sophia's Story...
Sophia and her 4 puppies were rescued out of a vacant lot, shortly after the first of the year. This is a very beautiful, intelligent, loving dog. Sophia is a White German Shepherd mix. We think she's about 1-1/2 to 2 yrs. old. She weighs about 65 lbs. and is housetrained. Sophia gets along well with other dogs and is used to being around young children and even cats. She is sweet and gentle with everyone. Sophia has been a wonderful mommy to her puppies. Now it's her turn to have a mommy or daddy of her very own. We would like to find a a new mom and/or dad for Sophia who will get her into positive reinforcement-based obedience training, to help make the most of her high intelligence level. Sophia would make a wonderful, loyal family companion. Our little beauty did come to us heartworm-positive and is currently undergoing treatment. She will complete her treatment and be as good as new in early April. Sophia's adoption fee will cover her vet exam, vaccinations, spaying and heartworm treatment. We never want Sophia to worry about being left out in the cold ever again. This special dog deserves an equally-special forever family. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophia, a Carrollton German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
