My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Phoebe 8 y/o female Chinchilla Persian, front paw declaw

Phoebe is a stunning, tiny Princess. She and her sister Silver Bell (Bella) were surrendered to the SPCA because their owner was put in an assisted living home and was not allowed to take them. Phoebe and Silver Bell were originally purchased from a breeder and lived their lives in the same quiet home for the last 8 years. When they found themselves in the shelter, they were terrified and very upset. Who could blame them. They went from spoiled, pampered princesses to living in cages with the sound of dogs barking and other cats crying. The shelter asked if we would take them since it was obvious they were not going to do well there. The two girls were given there own room in foster care, but it still took them a week to settle in and realize they were safe. Phoebe is quite the talkative little girl. She will tell you all about it, whether she is happy or upset, she will let you know. When she is happy, she talks softly and makes darling little squeaks and meows. Phoebe does like to be picked up and held once she trusts you. Here paperwork says she is a lap cat, so we expect as she gets more comfortable we will see that side of her as well. Although her surrender paperwork says she is fine with other cats, we think she might be best as an only cat or adopted with her sister who she seems to tolerate. Given more time she might be fine with other cats, but right now she prefers her own room.

Phoebe is seriously beautiful. Her eyes are a perfect light green. She is actually growing out a lion's cut right now, but we expect her coat will be very full and long in a few months. If you are looking for a stunning little Princess with lots of character, Phoebe is your girl. Phoebe is being fostered in the Sacramento area.
