Penny's Story...
Penny is a little retired girl. She is about 10 yrs old and weighs 6 lbs. She loves to be with her special person. She enjoys sitting quietly with you while you go about your business. She is housebroken as long as you are. She needs to be taken out on a regular basis. Penny does not have many teeth left so she prefers to eat soft food but will eat hard. She likes to go for rides in the car and is very good in the car. If you think you can give this special girl her best retirement home please fill out an application and email it to Penny@rescueachihuahua.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
