ANNE's Story...
Anne and her sister Charlotte arrived at Tuxedo Junction Rescue as semi-feral kittens. Both girls have come around beautifully, although Anne is still on the shy side. But with a little time and patience she's sure to become your best friend! Anne still doesn't quite trust people but loves other cats. If you sit quietly she'll come out and start to rub your leg and push herself up for a head rub. But, if you approach her, she'll feel skittish and run away. Because of her feral beginnings, her comfort with humans does not come easily, so she must be adopted into a quiet home with no children or active dogs, and plenty of love and patience. She is especially good friends with Mia, and these two girls would love to find a permanant home together!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ANNE, a AUSTIN Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in AUSTIN, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in AUSTIN.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in AUSTIN already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a AUSTIN breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in AUSTIN paves the way for another one to be saved.
