My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Abby is a 2-3 year old spayed female Alaskan Malamute. Her owners left her and another dog tied outside a pound in northern Michigan with a note that they couldn't care for them anymore. Unfortunately, it was one of the few pounds in Michigan that still sells dogs into research so we took both dogs out as soon as we could get them!

Abby is VERY sweet with people (adults and kids). She LOVES having her belly rubbed and like most Malamutes she likes to talk to you. She is crate trained, housetrained, listens very well and walks well on a leash. She is fearful of other dogs and does not interact well with dogs that are new to her so we think she will do best as the only dog in a home. Abby's vaccinations are up to date, she is on monthly heartworm preventative and she is microchipped. She is ready to find her new permanent home!
