Dotty's Story...
Hi! My name is Dotty and I am a 1 year old, beautiful, Blue Merle Australian Shepherd and purebred, too! I am housetrained and great with women and children of all ages. Would you like to share your bed with me? I love to snuggle. I am shy with some men and they will need a gentle touch and voice. Just give me time and I can become good friends with a laid-back companion dog. I have lots of love and affection to give and will make someone a wonderful, loyal pet given the chance. Do you have a Frisbie or ball for me to chase? I could be your jogging partner, or your walking partner and we both can stay in shape that way. I love to play with children and exercise so I would need a fenced yard to keep us all safe. You can visit me at Greystone Pet Hospital in Bowling Green or call 270-843-1558.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dotty, a Bowling Green Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Bowling Green, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Bowling Green.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bowling Green already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bowling Green breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bowling Green paves the way for another one to be saved.
