Paula's Story...
Comments from the kennel staff: "Paula is another beautiful golden-eyed hound that's new to us. She is a real sweetie pie, and is adjusting well to her new retirement schedule. We'll have more on her as her personality emerges." ***UPDATE 1-8-10***Comments from the Foster Home: Paula is a very good all around hound. She has a laid back and calm personality, but certain unexpected or unusual situations will make her nervous initially. She listens well and thoroughly enjoys people. We think she would really thrive in a laid back atmosphere where she can be enjoyed as a true member of the family. She currently does not care for stairs, but we are working with her on them. She really is a wonderful girl with a sweet personality!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paula, a St Petersburg Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in St Petersburg, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in St Petersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St Petersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St Petersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St Petersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
