My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Greetings from Chicago English Bulldog Rescue! We are an English Bulldog rescue in the state of Illinois recognized by the Bulldog Club of America and the Bulldog Club of America Rescue Network. What that means for adopters, surrendering families and shelters is that our bullies get the highest level of care and commitment. They spend their time with us in foster homes where they get daily love and attention. No cages, no institutions.

We are an Illinois licensed shelter and a 501c3 charitable organization. The care we provide our English bulldogs includes a high quality diet, the best veterinary care from a bulldog specialist, and behavioral of the highest quality. Each of our rescued bullies typically cost CEBR more in care, than the adoption fees we collect – on average $536 per bully. Your contributions to help care for our bullies would be so appreciated. CLICK HERE TO DONATE. All donations are tax deductible as provided by law.

We serve Chicago-proper and the surrounding suburbs, Illinois, Northwest Indiana, Southeastern Wisconsin including Milwaukee and now take intakes from Ohio and Missouri. To determine whether your home falls within our adoption radius please VIEW OUR ADOPTION AREA MAP.

I’m Georgia, a sweet southern gal who made it from Ohio to Illinois through the help of some great folks across OH, IN and IL! I’m looking for a home where I can feel secure. My original family left me with a friend for a few times and lo ahd behold, the moved out of town and left me stranded! Those cads!! That is no way to treat a lady! Especially one as pretty as me! I’m about three and a half and in good health, spayed and up to date on my shots. I’m a little on the small size for a bully girl at 40 pounds, but good things come in small packages, don’t you think? I have a beautiful brindle coat that just looks lovely in the sunshine and shiny brown eyes that will melt the coldest of hearts.

I’m polite with other dogs and I like kids and once I know where the outside is, I have no problem taking my business outside like a lady should. I do have my manners, you see. However, I do have a little problem with feeling secure and I’m sorry, I just can’t help myself, but I do like to hoard things in my crate—you know, things like toys, towels, and a gallon size jug of water… Considering how I’ve been abandoned, a girl just has to take care of herself. I’m sure that once I feel secure, perhaps I won’t keep collecting things. The other thing I’m not so good at is feeling okay about car rides. I want to go on car rides, but once I’m in the car, I’m scared and very anxious. I’m sure that if the right person comes along and gives me a lot of love, and we work on it together, I’ll be able to handle car rides better.

Other than that, I’m perfectly behaved in the house. I’m quiet and content to sit in my crate or lay on the couch. I just want to sit next to you and be petted and told that I am beautiful. I don’t chew on anything I’m not supposed to besides certain types of crates. I’ve got some silly quirks. I know.

I’m working on walking on a leash and I walk better with a harness. Since I am a small girl, long flights of steps aren’t my forte so you might have to carry me. I love treats of all types and I don’t believe I have any allergies or special food requirements, although a refined lady like me does appreciate a high quality bully food. Wouldn’t your life be more complete with a Southern beauty like me?

Peace and love,

Georgia

Because we receive so many inquiries about our dogs, we’re sorry to say that we can’t follow up on all them. If you are interested in one of our bullies, please complete an application by visiting www.ebullymatch.com and click on Apply To Adopt. We will not be able to respond to individual phone calls or emails.
