My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed: He is a lop mix of some sort (his ears are mostly completely loppy, but some days they'll stick out at odd angles :) ) Size: Small size male (will probably end up being 4-6 pounds) Color: All black Approximate DOB: End of May 2009 Reason in rescue: This little boy came from a very large seizure (over 300) of rabbits in New Mexico! volunteered to help out, so they came over in a bunny "train" to the East coast! They are extremely lucky to be rescued! Personality: Casey is one of those bunnies that is not scared of anything. He absolutely loves attention and getting pets! He also likes to climb on things and will explore anything he can get near :) But he will lay for hours and be petted! He also loves to play! Special Needs: Casey can be a bit grumpy when hands reach into his cage, i.e. "his room." He will box and growl but never bite. You can reach in and pet him if you come from the top and not put your hands in front of him. When he is out of his cage, he is not like this at all! But because of that small bit of grumpiness, we do not recommend him for young kids! Friends: Casey has very good potential to be bonded with a spayed female Requirements: Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with an as large as possible plastic bottomed cage or puppy pen. A home visit will be required prior to adoption. Adoption process: An adoption application must be filled out (email for the application), and approved by us. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. Suggested adoption donation is $60 which includes his neuter and fist vet visit . **“Please email if you are interested in adoption. We respond to all emails within 24 hours** Recommended Food: Oxbow or Kaytee timothy pellets, unlimited timothy hay, veggies especially leafy greens like dandelion, spring mixes, romaine and leaf lettuce Bedding: Newspaper, Yesterday’s News, Cellsorb, or Carefresh Supplements: papaya/pineapple tab to help prevent blockages
