My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sandy is a pure bred cinnamon coat chow with a lavender tongue. The pictures are a before & after her was rescued from the pound & groomed. He is crate trained & house broke. He is very laid back and friendly. He gets along with other dogs but likes to chase cats. He also seems to get along with children. He has been diagnosed with Keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS). He was picked up as a stray by the dog warden. So we are wondering if his previous owners tossed him out on the streets due to his eye condition. Update: He seen an eye specialist the end of October. Based on the eye exam the vet states he is 5 years old. He has responded very well to the eye drops, does not need surgery & will not go blind. He will need the eye drops for the rest of his life. At this time they are applied 2 times a day but the doctor feels that soon that can be decreased to one time per day. Sandy is a wonderful chow & has so much to offer. He has adapted well to different environments. Please consider giving him a forever home. He is being fostered in NE Ohio. Please contact Kathy @ chowchows@adelphia.net for more info.
