Bo's Story...
Bo is our newest "not a Lab" at He is a 4 year old Springer spaniel. The Springer is known to be a cheerful and affectionate dog. Springers love their families and like to stick close to their owners. They make excellent house pets, but require daily exercise and need regular brushing and trimming to keep their coats neat and free of mats.

Bo is a beautifully calm example of the Springer. He is very self possessed and laid back for this breed. We like to joke he is a Lab personality in a Springer body.

Bo gets along great with other dogs and is a very friendly happy boy. He has a medium temperament and gets along with dogs both under and over him in the pack order at his foster home.

Bo is neutered, up to date an vaccines and heartworm negative. He weighs about 40 lbs.

If you would like to adopt Bo, please submit an adoption application from our website, and see our other great Labs who are looking for their forever homes, happy tails, and more!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bo, a Boston Springer Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Springer Spaniel for sale in Boston, or seeking a Springer Spaniel dog from a breeder in Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Springer Spaniel breeders who help with Springer Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
