Ansel's Story...
Ansel is another one of our sweet little Labs from our Morgan County breeder rescue. Little Ansel came to us weighing less than 30 lbs. He has gained 10 lbs and is doing so well. Ansel needs to gain another 5 to 10 lbs to be at his best weight and we are confident he will get there.

He is cleared for adoption at this time and we are sure we will have many applications for this wonderful boy. He is 1 1/2 years old, loves other dogs, had never met a person he didn't want to give a big ole Lab grin and a kiss. He is the sweetest boy!

While he didn't have the best start to his life, he will charm a family into adopting him and loving him forever. If you are looking for a genuinely kind and loving Labrador, Ansel is your man.

Please help us complete his rescue and apply today.

If you would like to adopt Ansel, please submit an adoption application from our website, and see our other great Labs who are looking for their forever homes, happy tails, and more!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ansel, a Boston Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Boston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
