My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruth Ann is a short hair female guinea pig. Ruth Ann is tri-colored. Ruth Ann is around 1 year old.

Ruth Ann has been at the rescue awhile. She was adopted with her friend Shelby, but when Shelby passed away they thought it better to bring her back and find her a new friend then have her live alone. She loves her roommates, she lives with Patch & Vanessa and Taylor and loves them. She is a snuggle girl, she loves sleeping next to the other girls in the cage whether it be inside the pigloos or cuddle saks, or in a great big pile of hay. She comes up to the front of the cage when it's veggie time and takes food from your hand and then runs off with it into a cuddle sak to snack away. She is very good at being held, she loves being held while your watching a movie but she also enjoys floortime where you set up chubes and piles of hay for her to run around in. She would love a family that would spoil her rotten with extra veggies and lots of fleece to sleep on.

Since she was returned to be with another piggie, we would like her to get adopted to a home that already has a female guinea pig or be adopted with one of the single ladies we have here at the rescue. She loves having the other pigs around and we would love for her and one of her friends to go to a home together. Ruth Ann loves her chin scratched when she's in the mood, she'll come up to the front of the cage and put her paws on the grids and lean forward so you can rub her chin. She likes to be held, especially in a blanket with extra veggies! She wheeks up a storm when the haylofts are refilled and can sometimes be found in the hayloft if you look closely. She is looking forward to having a home of her own and being able to spend time wit her new family.

Our rescue uses and requires the use of C & C Cages (Cubes & Coroplast) There is an adoption fee of $25 per pig, $50 for a pair. If you are interested in adopting a single or pair of piggies please read over the requirements and fill out an Application
