Abby's Story...
Abby is a very beautiful and sweet two-year-old, 42-pound shepherd-mix looking for a wonderful new home. Inside the home, she is playful, loving, cuddly, rolling over for belly rubs and giving lots of kisses. She sits on command, and takes treats gently. She is great about being crated, and is housebroken when kept on schedule. Abby is living in a foster home with two other dogs ... Abby is a big snuggle bug and loves to sleep at the foot of the bed in her foster home. She loves toys and would be a great agility dog. She plays well with the other dogs in her foster home. Abby is very healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed, heartworm-tested and on preventative. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Abby, please e-mail Patty at Graz97@aol.com or call 773-230-2542. Her adoption fee of $150 benefits rescued pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abby, a Chicago Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
