Dora's Story...
Dora is a sweet little ball of energy. Dora is about 9 weeks old and ready to go to her new home. Dora does well with children, she loves her brothers and sisters and is quite the adventurer. Dora is small and petiete but don't let that scare you, it doesn't bother her.

When Dora is all streched out you will notice that she is spotted like her mom. We believe that she may have some bengal or ocicat in her beucase her stomache is bright silver with spots and zig zag stripes. The bigger she gets each day the more you notice her wonderful silver color and black stripes showing through.

Dora will be getting her health certificate when she goes to see her vet for her vaccines and check up. Dora is eating solid food and using the litter box on her own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dora, a East Tawas American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in East Tawas, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in East Tawas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Tawas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Tawas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Tawas paves the way for another one to be saved.
