Stella's Info...

Stella's Story...
Stella is one of four dogs rescued from the Bakersfield/Kern County Shelter on the day they were scheduled to be euthanized. Stella and the others did not do anything wrong, but were just strays in a very bad overcrowded shelter system in a bad part of the state. So, no one came for them. Stella is an awesome looking dog that pics don't do justice. She has the merle coat, and one blue eye, one brown of an aussie shepherd, but the body, size, coat and tail of a labrador retriever. In Hybrid terms, she is an "Aussiedor." Stella is about 60 or so lbs. She is playful with the other dogs and a medium energy dog overall. She has the sweetest personality and is also very affectionate. Stella is very nice to all dogs, and lives in a pack with smaller dogs and even a puppy, but she tends to play w/Daphne who is also a bigger dog. Stella is about age three. She is not aggressive to people or dogs or food agressive. She walks good on the leash. If you are interested in Stella please call Janet at 626-340-9316.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella, a Bellflower Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
