Chewy's Story...
Chewy is one handsome man!!!! He is only 1yr old and was an owner turn in to the animal shelter. We are told he was turned in because they were moving. We are told he is housetrained, and he is excellent with kids, cats and other dogs. What a big sweet teddy bear he is! He is truly a gentle giant and is an ambassador to his breeds. This is one of the nicest dogs I have rescued in a long time. The funny part about these big guys is that they don't realize how big they are, and he gets frightened by silly things...ie hopping INTO the car, now that was an adventure!! LOL!!! On the long ride home from the shelter, he sat ON TOP of the other crates in the car and was smashed between the roof and the crate, but he felt comfortable like that so we didn't argue with him. If you are looking for a silly, sweet and goofy dog, then this is your boy!! For more info please call Melissa at 801-427-3067 His adoption fee is $150 which includes his neuter, vacs, deworm, microhip, heartworm test and current prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chewy, a Orem Border Collie/Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Great Pyrenees for sale in Orem, or seeking a Border Collie/Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Orem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Border Collie/Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orem paves the way for another one to be saved.
