Hero's Story...
Everybody needs a hero in their life! Hero is a 2 year old red brindle male who just adores the girls at the kennel. He has the manners of an older dog but the enthusiasm of a 2 year old. He loves to go for walks and rides in the car. He has heard the rumors around the kennel that retirement is wonderful and he's hoping to find out sooner than later.

He is crate trained but not yet house trained.
Hero is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hero, a Gerrardstown Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Gerrardstown, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Gerrardstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gerrardstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gerrardstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gerrardstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
