Caramel's Story...
Caramel is a beautiful dog who will be just stunning once he is well groomed. He is a very friendly boy who just never stops wagging his tail. He came to us from a crowded shelter where he was picked up as a stray. He knows some basic commands and we haven't had him long enough to know for sure, but he appears housebroken. He walks very well on a leash. He rides very well in the car and seems okay with dogs, but does have a dominant streak so it might be best for him to go to a home with no more than one other dog, preferably a female. Since we don't know his history it would also be best for him to be placed in a home without small children.

Caramel is 5 years old, but has more energy than dogs half his age. His foster mom was even thinking of renaming him "Bouncer" because he loves to stand on his hind legs and bounce up and down.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Caramel, a Bernardsville Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Bernardsville, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Bernardsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bernardsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bernardsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bernardsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
