Emerald's Story...
Hi! My name is Emerald or Emmie for short and Jewel is my mom. she is part bloodhound, part Rhodesian Ridgeback (they think1) but I don't know what my dad was... don't blame my mom, though. she had a tough life and was dumped at a shelter in WV when she was pregnant with me. Me and my 12 siblings were born at the shelter, but a nice lady from a "rescue" (whatever that is) took me to her house to stay. Now I have a warm, nice place to live and lots of food, love, and attention. What I really want now is a family of my own. I am such a nice puppy- I love kids and other dogs... I love to play and have fun, but also love to be held and snuggle because I am just a baby. If you would like to meet me- fill out an online application. I have been wormed- twice- and given my first vaccination (I didn't like that!) My adoption fee is $75.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emerald, a Minerva Bloodhound/Mastiff puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound/Mastiff for sale in Minerva, or seeking a Bloodhound/Mastiff puppy from a breeder in Minerva.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minerva already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minerva breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound/Mastiff breeders who help with Bloodhound/Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minerva paves the way for another one to be saved.
